Shiftshoot is a private club with facilities available to members and their guests. Membership is based on the calendar year, January 1 to December 31. Membership fees are not prorated. However, first time applicants who apply for membership after Sept 1 receive the remainder of the current year plus the following year for the annual membership fee. The facility entrance is controlled by a code activated gate. The Range facilities are open seven days a week from 9:00 am to dusk. The clubhouse is open Wednesdays to Sundays 10:00 am to 2:30 pm. During these times our on-site caretaker is available to assist our members. Located on twenty-eight acres, the facility includes a training range, 25, 50, and 200 yard rifle ranges, handgun ranges, trap, skeet, 5 stand and sporting clay fields.

Do I need my own gun?
The club has a number of guns available for members and probationers to borrow. There is no charge for this.
How much does it cost to join?
Joining fee is $20 which includes the cost of the safety course then Probationers pay $5 on each visit or a lump sum of $60 ($2.50 and $30 for under 18's). Full membership is $130 per year (Juniors $50 a year). There is a discounted rate for couples and their children.
I'm under 18 - can I come along on my own?
Juniors (under 18) must be accompanied by a parent or guardian (or a responsible adult) when on club premises. Parents and guardians don't need to be members and do not pay a fee (unless they are shooting) but must sign in the visitors book on each visit.
When can I apply for a Firearms Certificate?
The firearms act requires anyone wishing to obtain a FAC for target shooting to be a full member of a Home Office Approved target club. Therefore you need to wait until you are a full member.
What is "Section 21"?
Section 21 of the firearms acts prohibits anyone who has been sentenced to 3 months custody or more from handling or being in possession of firearms or ammunition. The period of prohibition depends on the length of their sentence.
